Terms and Charges

Bookings should be made as early as possible to avoid disappointment. It would be helpful if firm dates and approximate times of arrival and collection are given.

A collection and delivery service is avaiable at an extra cost depending on distance.
We charge 40p per mile each way, with a minimum charge of £5.

Cancellations within 2 weeks of the start of the boarding will result in a charge of £25.00 or loss of deposit. In the event of owners returning before the end of the period for which the cat is booked, the full period will be charged for.

Payment of boarding fees to be made by debit card, cash, cheque or credit card at the time of collection or, in the case of long term boarding, accounts to be paid monthly in advance. Please note credit card transactions will carry a 2.5% surcharge.

We will only accept cats who have up to date vaccinations for the duration of the whole boarding.

All cats must be up to date with their worming regime and be clear of fleas. If however the cattery finds fleas or other parasites, whilst in board then the cats will be treated at an additional cost of £8.00 per cat, to the owner as well as an additional £5 per pen in order to eliminate the pests.

We are unable to accept entire males over the age of 7 months for boarding.

Customers are requested to remove cat collars before arriving, for health and safety reasons. Any cats wearing collars will have them removed for the duration of their stay.

Should any cat fail to be collected within 8 weeks of the planned collection date, Markfield Cattery reserve the right to assume ownership and take any action they consider reasonable to rehome it.

Insurance does not cover veterinary fees incurred for conditions prevailling prior to boarding. Veterinary fees that may be incurred, due to such conditions will be passed to the owner.
