Fiona Sangster is the Proprietor of Markfield Cattery and wife of the author of this website, Mark Sangster.
Fiona is the mother of two boys, Liam and Ewan who keep her busy. Liam holds down a regular paper round and Ewan is learning to play the baritone saxophone alongside his mum, who also plays the cornet for the Ratby band.
Fiona qualified as a British Horse Society Assistant Riding Instructress along side international Olympic Dressage instructors but through injury to her hand, now has diverted her attentions to her other love, that of cats and Golden Retrievers.
She now runs Markfield Cattery, near Coalville, as well as puppy walks for the Guide Dogs for the Blind, where Fiona incorporates other fundraising duties.
Fiona has worked for various sales companies and in past managed a large pet shop in the Meteor centre in Newcastle–upon-Tyne. Like her husband Mark, she also enjoys the Grand Prix and has accompanied him to see the Turkish Grand Prix in 2009.
Fiona’s motoring interests also extend to Alfa Romeo cars. She is the proud owner of a Mito 155 TB Veloce. She sometimes accompanies Mark to AROC club meetings and rallies. Fiona sometimes accompanies some of the local meets provided by AROC East Midlands Section, she recently took a ride in a yellow Bi Plane at Leicester Airport where she did a loop the loop. She especially likes to take her Guide Dog puppy, Guilder as part of his puppy walking training whenever possible.
